White Sulphur; was born in Ireland and came to this country in 1838, and settled in Scott County on his present place in 1869, which is situated about half a mile from the Georgetown and Frankfort Pike, and in sight of White Sulphur Village; it is a beautiful place, consisting of 247 acres, well improved and in a fine state of cultivation; has a handsome brick residence on it and all out-buildings of like excellent character. Mr. L. [sic] is an enterprising, industrious man, and a successful farmer and stock-raiser. He married Miss Mary Lee, a daughter of Robert Lee, who was born in Virginia in 1790, and removed to Scott County in 1805; of this union eight children have been born, and are being educated at Visitation Monastery.
