BLAND, merchant and proprietor of the Louisiana House at Mount Olivet, Robertson County, Ky., was born in Mason County, Ky., August 14, 1858, and is a son of Charles and Elizabeth (Pyles) Bland, of Mason County. Calvin Bland, the paternal grandfather of Frank P., was born in Virginia, and was an early settler of Mason County, Ky. Leonard Pyles, the maternal grandfather, was a native of Maryland, Charles Bland is still residing in Mason County, Ky. Frank P. Bland was reared in Mason County, and educated in Millersburg, Ky. He is a Democrat, and for three years held office at May's Lick, Mason County. December 10, 1884, he married Miss Amanda Trigg, of Mason County, and in 1886 opened his hotel at Mount Olivet.
