THOMAS DUNCAN, born March 6, 1851, is the eldest living child of Alexander and Melissa (Jones) Duncan, natives respectively of Virginia and Oldham County, Ky. Alexander Duncan was born in 1807, was a carpenter but afterward a farmer, and died in December, 1882. Thomas Duncan was educated partly in the schools of Oldham, his native county, and partly at Transylvania University. He was reared to farming, and now owns and resides upon 450 acres in Oldham County. In January, 1874, he was married, and has had born to him four children: Bernice, Addie Camilla, Thomas N. and Susie. He is a member of the K. of H., and a stock-holder in the Bank of Oldham.
