LOUIS HARDIN VOYLES:  The subject of this sketch was the fourth child 
of twelve born to Elder Calvin Voyles and Cather Obenchain Voyles. 
Elder Voyles was born on August 6, 1852, in Hancock County, Kentucky.  
We have found no information concerning his early life.  In a round 
about way we understand that he was licensed and ordained by the 
Pellville Baptist Church.
	He married Miss Dora Weatherford and to the union seven children 
were born.  Two of the children were still living in the year 1941.
	The records show that he preached the Annual Sermon before the 
Blackford Association in 1905.  From first to last he served the 
following churches in this Association: Mt. Pleasant, 1875, 1877-1880, 
1885-1889; Bethel, 1878-1884, 1887-1888, 1908; Bethlehem, 1884-1891; 
Bethabara, 1889; Macedonia, 1889-1890; Central City, 1890-1891; 
Hopewell, 1903-1904; Panther Creek, Daviess County, 1903-1907; Green 
Briar, 1905-1909; Brushy Fork, 1906; Red Hill, 1906; and Stanley, 
1907-1908.  He also served churches in Ohio and Hancock Counties.
	He died shortly after his birthday in August, 1912, and was laid 
to rest in the Fordsville cemetery.
