BELL was born Septermber 23, 1842, in Adair County, Ky., and is the eldest of four sons and four daughters born to Sebastian C. and Amanda (Row) Bell. Nat G. was reared on a farm and received a plain English education. He remained with his parents until his marriage, January, 1866, with Velvina A. Hamilton, a daughter of Edward and Malinda (Cox) Hamilton. This union was blessed by the birth of one son, Robert Lee Bell. Mrs. Bell is a devoted member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. After his marriage, Mr. B. located where he now resides on East Fork of Little Barren River, on 400 acres of land, 200 of which are under cultivation and improved with a fine residence. He also owns two other farms of 100 and 200 acres, acquired mostly by his own industry. He started with $1,000 given him by his father. In politics Mr. Bell is a Democrat.
