Used by permission. [McLean] WILLIAM HARVEY BELL: This beloved brother was born in Daviess County but as to the exact date we have no information. The first information we have concerning him is his ordination which took place at Hawesville, Kentucky, on March 4, 1888. From that time until about the year 1906 he served eighteen churches in this and adjoining Associations. Among those served in this body may be mentioned: Mt. Vernon, Mt. Pleasant, Rumsey, and Bethel in McLean County; Midway, Delaware Creek, Curdsville, Red Hill, Panther Creek, in Daviess County; and Bethlehem in Muhlenberg County. For a while he lived at Central City, Kentucky, and still later in Henderson, Kentucky. In 1907 he moved to Nash, Texas, where he spent the remainder of his earthly life. His death occurred there in the year 1919, after about 31 years in the ministry. Bell = Daviess Muhlenberg Henderson TX http://www.rootsweb.com/~kygenweb/kybiog/mclean/bell.wh.txt
