A History of Masonry in Madison County, Kentucky 1812-1913, compiled and written by Robert R. Burnam, 1914, p. 93. ROBERT CURTIS STOCKTON, son of Edward D. Stockton and Mary Curtis Stockton, was born in Irvine, Kentucky, October 23, 1858. He was brought when a child to Richmond by his parents and has spent his whole life in this community. He was educated at the old Seminary, so often mentioned in these narratives, and at Central University. He began, before attaining his majority, a successful business career and has enjoyed for many years the friendship of all who know him. He was appointed postmaster in 1913 by President Wilson and now "dispenses" the mails to the citizens of our city. A most popular appointment. Sir Stockton has always been a most enthusiastic Mason, giving of his time and means for the cause. He was made a Master Mason March 4, 1892; elected Master December 27, 1887; exalted a Royal Arch Mason in 1882; elected High Priest of his Chapter September, 1888, and has been reelected three times; created a Knight Templar July, 1882; elected Eminent Commander in 1889. He was elected Treasurer of the Grand Commandery of Kentucky at its annual conclave May, 1905, and still holds that position. He is also a Shriner and a member of the Consistory. There have been few members of the Order who have served it more faithfully or who have received more deservedly the honors given him than Robert C. Stockton. He married in 1883 Miss Margaret Nuckols of Woodford County, Kentucky. Stockton Curtis Nuckols = Estill-KY Woodford-KY http://www.rootsweb.com/~kygenweb/kybiog/madison/stockton.rc.txt
