A History of Masonry in Madison County, Kentucky 1812-1913, compiled and written by Robert R. Burnam, 1914, p. 104. EDWARD C. STOCKTON, the son of Robert C. Stockton and Margaret Nuckols Stockton, was born in Richmond November 11, 1884. His father and grandfather were both made Masons in Richmond Lodge No. 25, so it was natural that when just past twenty-one he should have sought for the light which flows from the East. He completed his education at Danville and on returning from college became associated with his father in the drug business, corner of Second and Main streets. (The location is given because for seventy-five years this historic corner has been occupied by druggists.) Mr. Stockton is popular and enjoys the confidence of all who know him. He served as Master from December, 1909 to December, 1910, and also as Emminent Commander from April, 1912, to 1913. He is unmarried.
