Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, 5th ed., 1887, Jessamine Co. MRS. MARY A. CHRISMAN is the widow of Isaac T. Chrisman, who was born in Harrison County, Ky., in 1800. He was a blacksmith by trade, also a farmer, and died in Jessamine County on March 30, 1860. Mary A. and Isaac T. were married on February 2, 1852. Four children have blessed this union: John B., married Alice Young, on April 16, 1885 (one child born to them--James W.); Relda, married to W. H. Gipson, on May 16, 1872 (three children born to them: Thomas I., James C. and May B.); Isaac T. and James C. Mrs. Mary A. Chrisman is a member of the Methodist Church South; her husband was a Baptist. She owns eighty-nine acres of land in Lee District, seven miles south of Nicholasville.
