JAMES CHAMBERS moved from North Carolina to Jessamine county, Kentucky, 
about 1804.  He was called to the care of Clover Bottom church, to which 
he ministered not more than two or three years.  After this he returned 
to his native State, to take charge of a church which had invited him to 
its pastoral care.  His children all being in Kentucky, he returned to 
this State after two or three years.  About 1818, he moved to Indiana 
where he died at great age.  He is said to have been a good preacher, 
and a man of high respectability.
