Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, 6th ed., 1887, Henry Co. RICHARD L. TIDRICK was born in Guernesey County, Ohio, July 17, 1834. He is a son of Michael and Elsie (Lanning) Tidrick, both natives of Ohio. Mr. Tidrick was reared in Ohio, received a good common-school education, and at the age of twenty left his native State and went to Madison County, Iowa where he remained about one year. He then removed to Osage County, Kas., and became overseer of a mail route from Kansas City to Santa Fe, N. M.; remained about eight years as overseer, but located at Santa Fe. He next went to Louisville, Ky., where he remained a short time, coming thence to Henry County, and has been actively engaged in farming ever since, with the exception of three years he spent in Tennessee and Alabama. He owns 204 acres of good land. He married, July 6, 1871, Miss Arminta Hill, of Henry County, Ky., daughter of William L. and Amanda (Walker) Hill. Mr. Tidrick is a Royal Arch Mason.
