MARTIN, M.D., was born in Shelby County, Ky., May 15, 1842, a son of John and Eliza Martin, natives of Kentucky, and who now reside in Henry County. Our subject went to Henry County when but three years of age, with his parents, from Shelby County. In 1861 he turned his attention to the study of medicine, with his brother, Dr. L. I. Martin, of Franklinton, and in 1863 and 1864 attended the University of Louisville, and then practiced his profession until 1865, when he entered the Miami Medical College at Cincinnati, and graduated from that institution in 1866, and has since been constantly engaged in the practice of his profession in Henry County.
