REV. E. W. STRANGE, of Horse Cave, Ky., was born April 20, 1870.  He was
reared in Warren County, Ky. and professed a hope in Christ when in his
teens. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Will Strange, his father being a
deacon in the Mt. Olive Baptist church.  Bro. Strange graduated from the
common school in Warren County, then went to Nashville, Tenn., where he
finished High School at Roger Williams University.  He began preaching
in 1892 and thought by all who heard him to a great preacher.  He was
elected secretary of the Liberty Association in 1900 and made a faithful
servant in that office until his death in 1909.  Rev. Strange went into
wedlock with Miss Lula of Nashville and to this union five children were
born.  Sister Lizze Cook, the sister of Rev. Strange paid for the work
inserted in this book.  She is the wife of Rev. W. C. Cook.  Rev.
Strange was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church and was pastor at
Icy Sink and Reeds at his death.
