KIMBROUGH, farmer and stockraiser, P. O. Cynthiana, was born near Cynthiana Dec. 7, 1834, son of Mager and Margaret A. (Redmon) Kimbrough; he, born in Virginia in Jan. 1800, was a blacksmith and farmer, and died Feb. 19, 1879; she, born in Harrison County in 1810, and died in June, 1857; they had two sons and three daughters, Charles R. being the oldest child. Mr. Kimbrough, our subject, received his education in Cynthiana, under the tuition of Prof. Smith and Rev. Carter Page, and he began life farming, in addition to which he has made stockraising and stockhandling a specialty. Director and Vice President of the A. & M. Association, now Agricultural, Mechanical and Live Stock Association. April 2, 1857, he was married to Mary A. Roberts, daughter of Benson and Mary (Russell) Roberts, and four children have blessed the union, two of whom are now living: John W. and Ida May.
