GOODMAN, farmer, born in Pendleton County, June 11, 1833. Grandfather Zachariah Goodman came from Virginia, about 1800, and settled in Pendleton County, where he died at an advanced age. Lafayette Goodman, father of our subject, was born in Pendleton County about 1801. He followed farming and died in 1841. Wm. T. was raised a farmer; married Elizabeth, daughter of James and Anna (Dewett) Redd, of Harrison County. They have had ten children, seven of whom are living; the dates of whose births are as follows: Jno. J., Dec. 6, 1858; Allen B., Sept. 12, 1861; Anna, April 24, 1863; Zachariah, July 12, 1865; William, Sept. 27, 1868; Effie, Feb. 28, 1871; Mattie, June 24, 1874; politics Democrat.
