Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, ed. 8-B, 1887 Greenup County O. H. DICKEY was born in Independence, Mo., August 28, 1856, and is a son of Harvey H. and Mary P. (Dudin) Dickey, both natives of Fleming County, Ky. H. H. Dickey removed from Kentucky about the year 1867, took up his residence in Greenup County, and received his education at Wesleyan College. In 1879 he engaged in mercantile trade, and is looked upon as a stirring young business man of undoubted integrity. He is a Democrat, has served as town clerk, and is now chairman of the Board of Trustees. He is a member of one of the most prominent families of his county, and is held in high esteem by the community in which he lives.
