WILSON, farmer, was born in Graves County, Ky., February 26, 1859, and is the sixth in a family of eight children - four boys and four girls - all living - born to Daniel and Caroline (Richardson) Wilson, natives of Virginia. (Fuller genealogical details are given in the sketch of Daniel Wilson above.) Our subject was fairly educated at the district schools, and at Mayfield, but was chiefly engaged on the home farm, until his marriage, December 6, 1883, to Miss Rena Leech, daughter of William and Nancy (Hughes) Leech, natives of Tennessee and Kentucky respectively, and of English extraction. Mrs. Rena Wilson for three years attended school at McKenzie, Tennessee, and is now a consistent member of the Presbyterian Church. Mr. Wilson is a member of the Baptist Church. He is the owner of 225 acres of good land, of which 150 acres are under cultivation and furnished with good buildings. He makes a specialty of breeding short-horn cattle and Berkshire hogs and is one of the most progressive young men of his district.
