He is a son of Wesley and Mary C. (Bressie) Watts. The father was born in middle Tennessee; he died in 1841, aged thirty-six years. The mother was born in 1801 in Virginia and is now living with her son in Mayfield. The family came to Graves County, in 1838 and engaged in farming; this business he continued until 1880, when the Watts Brothers opened a general family grocery and have since been successfully engaged in this business. N.B. Watts was married in December, 1860, to Miss Elizabeth Pritchard of Graves County. They have six children - five daughters and one son, John W., now express agent at this place.
