ZINN was born not more than a mile from Williamstown, July 20, 1860. He is a son of James and Malissa F. (McMillan) Zinn. He was a student of the public schools of Williamstown and there acquired a good education. Later he was a student of the Williamstown Academy, under the professorship of L. V. Ware. After finishing his school course he studied dentistry under his uncle, George A. McMillan, of Edwardsville, Illinois, near St. Louis, from 1880 to 1882. Later he took a complete course at the Ohio College of Dental Surgery, the dental department of the University of Cincinnati. After more than two years' hard study and close application he graduated from this college in 1884. Starting out in life to practice his profession, he first located at Brunswick, Missouri. After two years of practice he was forced to leave this location on account of his ill health. In 1886 he came to Williamstown, his boyhood home, and located, and remained here until 1889. In the latter year he moved to and located in Queen City, and remained there in active practice of his profession for four years. During this period the doctor took a complete course in medicine and graduated in 1893 from the Cincinnati College of Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Zinn then came back to his old home, the town of his nativity, and for the second time opened a dental office, and has been here in the active practice of his profession since. Dr. Zinn has been and is a prominent member of many medical associations and societies, and is especially active in secret orders. He has for many years been connected as a member with the Kentucky State Medical Society, the Kentucky State Dental Society, the North Kentucky Medical Society and the Mississippi Valley Dental Society. As an Odd Fellow the doctor has taken high rank. He rarely misses a meeting of his favorite lodge, and does all that he can to promote the interest of this worthy organization. He is a Past Grand and has several times represented the lodge at the Grand Lodge as a delegate. He is also a member of the Encampment and Rose Rebekah Lodge. In politics Mr. Zinn is a Republican, but is conservative and fair and does not make politics a business. Zinn McMillan Ware = IL OH MO http://www.rootsweb.com/~kygenweb/kybiog/grant/zinn.wj.txt
