Souvenir Edition, The Williamstown Courier, Williamstown, Ky, May 30, 1901, reprinted September 19, 1981 by the Grant County KY Historical Society. W. P. WEBSTER is the son of P. G. Webster of Mt. Zion. He was born in Owen County in 1852 and grew up to manhood on his father's farm. The father moved to Grant County when Pack was only a small boy and located near Mt. Zion. When E. D. Webster, a brother of W. P., was elected Sheriff a number of years ago, he was given the position of Deputy Sheriff, which office he filled with credit to himself for four years, and when J. R. Lemon was elected served under him as deputy. In 1894 he was a candidate for Sheriff and was easily elected. Pack is a quiet, kind-hearted gentleman, who has not an enemy in the world. He is universally popular wherever he is known. April 25, 1900, he was married to Miss Lilly Littrell, a handsome and accomplished lady, the daughter of Mrs. Mary Littrell. To this union one child has been born, Mary Elizabeth. Pack is now dealing in harvesting machinery of various kinds and it is safe to say that who ever gets ahead of him in the machine trade will have to get up before day and stay up late at night. He represents the Milwaukee Harvesting Machine Company, which is noted for its fair dealing and the excellent material it places on the market. Of course, Pack has always been a Democrat, having never scratched a ticket or failed to vote since he was twenty-one years old.
