Souvenir Edition, The Williamstown Courier, Williamstown, Ky, May 30, 1901, reprinted September 19, 1981 by the Grant County KY Historical Society. B. K. MENEFEE, M. D., was born in Grant County in 1864 on the 17th day of August. He was reared on a farm and attended the common schools of the county until he was grown, receiving a good common school education, after which he became a student of the Louisville Medical College, taking two courses of lectures in that college, and one in the Kentucky School of Medicine, graduated from the former March 3, 1893. He was one of the class officers (treasurer). After he completed the medical course he went to Verona, where he located and began the practice of his profession, and remained there until 1899, when he removed to Crittenden, and has been a resident physician of the town ever since. He is an excellent gentleman, good humored, whole souled, and has as many friends and as few enemies as any man. The doctor was married to Miss Emma E. Claycamp a number of years ago, and to this union two bright and beautiful children, both girls, have come to bless their home. The doctor is ex-president of the North Kentucky Medical Society, member State Medical Society, and an ardent member and worker in the Masonic Lodge.
