Souvenir Edition, The Williamstown Courier, Williamstown, Ky, May 30, 1901, reprinted September 19, 1981 by the Grant County KY Historical Society. T. W. KENDALL. Among the young men of the Mason precinct who have come to the front in recent years is T. W. Kendall, who is now the Constable of the Second Magisterial District and the nominee of the Democratic party for re-election to that important office. Mr. Kendall is a Grant County boy, having been born May 19, 1860, at "Pin Hook" now better known as Crittenden. He is a son of C. B. Kendall and Elizabeth Tippet, and they were both natives of Grant County. Tom was raised on his father's farm and educated at the common schools of the county. He is the oldest of four children. His father is yet living, but his mother has been dead many years. On the 9th day of July, 1886, he was united in marriage to Miss Babe Simpson, a daughter of George W. Simpson, and to this marriage three children have been born--one boy and two girls. The boy is named George B. and is thirteen years old; the girls are Ethel May, eleven years old, and Ivie, nine years old. In 1887 he was nominated by the Democrats of his Magisterial District for the office of Constable, and ran against four opponents, getting more votes than the combined opposition. He has served as Constable for over three years, and has made a very efficient official. At the primary election held on the 1st day of last December, he was re-nominated by his part for the position by a good majority over a big field. Tom is a fighting Democrat, and always does his part in every contest. He is clever, agreeable and sociable, and popular with all who know him. We predict that one of these days he will be called upon by his party to go up higher. He has always followed farming, and has been a success in life, having accumulated considerable property. He owns a good farm and a nice home and lives happily with his family. Kendall Tippet Simpson = none http://www.rootsweb.com/~kygenweb/kybiog/grant/kendall.tw.txt
