JASPER ECKLER is the confidential clerk of B. Gross.  Through more than
ten years of his life he has served him faithfully and well.  He is a
man of splendid business accomplishments, a member of the Christian
church, and a devoted worked in Sunday-school and other religious bodies.
He is 29 years old and unmarried.  Mr. Gross has recently purchased three
large brick buildings in Covington and will open a large general store
in that city shortly, but will continue to operate his country stores.
