Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, ed. 8-B, 1887 Fleming County WILLIAM A. SUDDUTH was born in Fleming County, Ky., March 3, 1854, and is a son of William L. and Juliet (Andrews) Sudduth. The father was a lawyer by profession, and for many years was circuit clerk of Bath County, Ky. His death occurred at Flemingsburg, Ky., in 1875. William A. Sudduth, also an attorney-at-law, graduated from Centre College, Danville, Ky., in June, 1874, read law in the office of Andrews & Sudduth, and was admitted to practice in 1876. In 1879 he married Miss Mary McConnell, of Woodford County, daughter of George W.B. McConnell, a planter, who removed to Mississippi, where he died in 1872. To this union have been born two children: George McConnell, age seven years, and William L., age five years. [See sketch of Judge L. W.
