MRS. MARY EULALIE FEE SHANNON
Was a native of Flemingsburg, Ky., born Feb. 9, 1824; left an orphan at
11; educated in Cincinnati; married in 1854 to an editor from California;
and died in that State, Dec. 26, 1855, age 31.  In Aug., 1854, her poems
were published at Cincinnatti, "Buds, Blossoms, and Leaves," 12mo., 194
pages. [Note: Poem shown: "A Wish."]
