ROCK, son of Michael Rock, was born in Armagh, Ireland, July 2, 1850, and was educated at St. Patrick's College in his native town. He came to America in 1870, and taught in the theological seminary in Louisville fifteen months. He was ordained in Louisville Cathedral by Bishop McCloskey, June 15, 1872. He was pastor of the church at Elizabethtown nine months, and of St. Cecelia Church, Louisville, three years and nine months. In February, 1879, he came to this precinct and has since that time been pastor of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, situated two miles east of Knottsville.
