LANCASTER was born in Daviess County, Ky., March 10, 1839, and has always made this county his home. He owns 226 acres of fine land five miles west of Owensboro and considerable property in the city of Owensboro. The early part of his life was spent in farming, but for the past ten years he has been in the distilling business, being at present President of the Owensboro Distilling Company. He is also a stockholder in the Daviess County Fair Association. He served two years as Deputy Sheriff of Daviess County. During the war he served three years in the Confederate army. He was married Jan. 10, 1867, to Cyrene Hagan, a native of Marion County, Ky. They have four children--Susie, Sallie, Anna and Louisa. Mr. Lancaster's parents, N. M. and Priscilla (Hagan) Lancaster, were both natives of Marion County, Ky. His father was born March 4, 1809, and died in 1869. His mother also died in 1869. They had five children-N.
