"A HISTORY OF THE DAVIESS-McLEAN BAPTIST ASSOCIATION IN KENTUCKY, 1844-1943" by Wendell H. Rone, Probably published in 1944 by Messenger Job Printing Co., Inc., Owensboro, Kentucky, pp. 458-459. Used by permission. [Daviess] DEACON OTIS IRVIN HAZELRIGG: Otis Irvin Hazelrigg was born at Dermot, Daviess County, Kentucky on September 2, 1882, and is the son of John O. and Bettie Dawson Hazelrigg. He was reared on a farm and has followed the occupation of a farmer all of his life. In his early years he attended the grade schools at Masonville. He was converted in the year 1894 and was baptized into the fellowship of the Sugar Grove Baptist Church by Elder E. J. Maddox. He later moved his membership to the Bethabara Church at Habit where he has served faithfully through the years as a deacon, treasurer, member of the Executive Mission Board of the Association, Sunday School Superintendent, and as a Sunday School teacher. In all of these offices he has acquitted himself well. He has been a deacon of his church since 1926. In the Association he has been active on several important committees in making annual reports to the body. In the year 1925 Mr. Hazelrigg read the history of the Bethabara Church, prepared by a committee, on the occasion of its one hundredth anniversary. This history was printed in pamphlet form and has been of great help to the author in the preparation of this work. Our brother was united in marriage to Miss Lena Pendleton on October 4, 1910. One son, John Irvin, blessed the home. Mrs. Hazelrigg's sketch is also in this history in connection with her work in the Associational W. M. U. Their labors have enriched the life of their church and the Association. Hazelrigg Dawson Maddox Pendleton = none http://www.rootsweb.com/~kygenweb/kybiog/daviess/hazelrigg.oi.txt
