Used by permission. [Daviess] NOAH FRANCIS GABBERT: We have been unable to find many particulars about the life of this minister of the Gospel. His birth occurred near Cloverport, Hancock County, Kentucky, on April 23, 1868. He became a Christian in a revival near his home when about fourteen years of age. About the year 1890 he was ordained to the Gospel ministry. Where and by whom we are not informed. After serving churches in Breckenridge, Hancock, Jefferson, and perhaps other counties, he moved to Daviess County in 1914 and assumed the care of the Macedonia Church. He served this Church in 1915 also. He also served Stanley, 1915-1918; Panther Creek, 1916-1918; and Seven Hills 1918. His death occurred on Christmas day, 1918, while pastor of these last mentioned Churches. Brother Gabbert married Miss Anna May Rose of Ohio County on October 24, 1888. She preceded him in death on September 31, 1917. To this union was born four sons and one daughter. One of his sons, R. M. Gabbert, became a minister of the Gospel and followed his father as pastor of Seven Hills Church. He has been the pastor of the Church at Lancaster, Kentucky, for the past several years, where he has wrought well. Brother Gabbert was a very successful minister, having a good education. He strengthened and greatly helped every church he became pastor of. He manifested a rare ability in the pulpit, leading to Christ and baptizing several hundred souls. His loyalty to the cause of Christ and his uncompromising convictions were unexcelled. His remains were interred by the side of his wife in the Locust Hill cemetery in Evansville, Indiana.
