   JOHN J. SUNDERLAND, 81 years old, has lived in this county since he
was seven years old.  He was born February 10, 1847 in Jefferson county,
Tenn.  When he was between five and six years old, he went to Missouri
with his parents and stayed about two years.  His parents then moved to
Crittenden county.  He now lives in the southwestern part of the county.
   Mr. Sunderland says that he can remember being at church in 
Tennessee and that his mother was a member of that church.
   On March 22, 1871, Mr. Sunderland was married to Miss Mary Ann
Grimes.  Of his seven children, three are dead.
   In addition to his living children, Mr. Sunderland has nine 
grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
   Mrs. Adaline Greenlea, 83 years old, is Mr. Sunderland's sister.
