THOMAS ATTERBERRY, commonly called "Black Tom," built a house on section 
8, in T. 14 N., R. 2 E., and moved his family of eight persons from 
Breckingridge county, Kentucky, in the year 1845. [South Macon 
Township].  About the same time Richard Atterberry moved from Grayson 
county, Kentucky, and settled on section 12, T., 14 N., R. 2 E.
