Bracken County

ABNER McCLANAHAN was born in Bracken County, Ky., in 1828, and is a son of
Hugh and Sarah (Crupper) McClanahan, natives of Colfax County, Va.  In 1847
Abner McClanahan married his second cousin, a Miss McClanahan, by whom he
had seven children.  In 1883 he represented Bracken County in the State
Legislature, after which he resumed farming.  Politically he is Democratic
and is a prominent factor in the politics of his county.  He lives on a fine
farm near Brookville, Bracken County, Ky.
