[Bourbon County] [Paris City and Precinct] WALTER CLARK, livery; was born in 1859 in Centerville Precinct; son of Elwin and Patsey (Simpson) Clark; he is a native of Virginia; born in 1807 and died in 1878; she was born in the county, daughter of John and Susan Simpson; Walter was raised to farming pursuits. April 27th, 1881, he married Mattie Edwards, daughter of Oscar and Patsey (Kennedy) Edwards; Oct. 6th, 1881, he engaged in the livery business, in partnership with his brother-in-law, Oscar Edwards; the stable, situated on Main street opposite the post office, is well located for trade and is doing a large business, having accommodation for 100 horses, and facilities for dispensing horspitality to all who favor them with their patronage, and at the lowest possible rates.
