HALL, was born in Burlington, Boone Co., Ky., August 1, 1858, and is the sixth of a family of eight children born to Amos O. and Elizabeth (Westbay) Hall. Amos Hall, a tailor by trade, has been superintendent of the poor of his county for many years. His father was a Methodist Episcopal minister. Frank A. Hall was educated in the schools of Burlington, first learned the painter's trade, but followed it only a short time; in 1879 he commenced work in the printing office, and in 1883 became a partner in the publication of the Boone County Recorder with W. L. Riddell. October 13, 1882, he married Miss Lillian Reed, daughter of William and Charlotte (Buchanan) Reed, the latter a relative of President Buchanan, and the former a leading tobacconist in Covington. Two children have blessed this union: Lottie, born in November, 1884, and Ralph R., born in March, 1886. Mrs. Hall is a member of the Baptist Church. F. A.
