HAIDEN TRIGG after marrying in Redford [sic] County, Va., emigrated to
Kentucky before 1800; came to Barren County in the fall of 1798 or '99, and
settled four miles from Glasgow.  He was one of the first Justices of the
Peace of the new county, and one of the first Trustees of the town of
Glasgow.  He assisted in the organization of the new county, Barren; was a
Representative in the Legislature of Kentucky in 1803, and was the second
sheriff of this county.
	He was of commanding appearance, and a man of pleasant manner and address,
hospitable and kind to his neighbors and friends.  He was a friend of his
country and its institution.
	He left us after a dozen or more years and removed with all his family to
the State of Tennessee. All of his children, except Mrs. Daniel Curd, and
Alanson Trigg, followed him to the same state.  He was esteemed and
respected by all that knew him.  He died in the state of Tennesse.
