	ISAAC SETTLE raised a family of ten children; five girls and five 
boys.  His daughter Eliza Jane married Albert Bryan; Pamelia married G. 
F. Clark; Sarah Francis, H. G. W. Bradley; Caroline, Henry Bryan; Mary 
m. Joel Glass.  The names of his boys were:  Percival, Lucian, William, 
Hannible, Willis Stone.  I know of one of his boys living in Barren 
County at this writing.  There were two other Settles men come to the 
same section of the country in an early day.  Thornton who settled on 
the same creek with those named and Joel but don't know the exact farm 
on which he lived.  Thornton settled a place on the creek opposite the 
Bennett Homestead and where Esqr. William Pickett lived for many years 
and recently died.  Thornton and Joel Settle left Barren County and went 
west many years ago, I know nothing on them.
