Rogers, the brother of John Gorin Rogers, rose to the head of the bar on the adjoining circuit to this (Barren) by his deep learning and oratory, and was placed on the bench of his circuit. Although young, he was esteemed a learned, honest and upright judge - one that gave dignity to the office by his strict impartiality, satisfactory decisions and prompt discharge of his duties.
