Know all men by these presents that I, William Wise, Senior, of the County of Franklin and State of Kentucky, being of age and sound in mind do make and ordain this
my last will and testament, viz:
In view of the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death and wishing to dispose of my property as herein declared. I do will and ordain that my beloved wife, Julia Ann in

the event that she survives me, shall have her option as follows, to wit:  She can elect to take one third of the proceeds of all my property after the same is sold, and what
is left, if anything thereof at her death (She is to use the same for her own necessary and exclusion support and none of which is to be appropriated by her or others to any
child or other person whatever) the remainder at her death as before provided to be divided among my children as hereinafter specified.  Or she can list to become an heir
equal with the children and heirs herein married and take an equal part with them without consideration and the same to be disposed of by her as she pleases, without
restriction.  I further desire and ordain that the remainder of the proceeds of the sale of my estate be equally divided between my children; Emily M. Poe's children, she
being dead her children to share equally her part; Kitty McDaniel's children, she being dead her children to share equally her part, Wm Wise, Jr., my son to receive his part,
Nancy Clark, my daughter to receive her part in case she survives, if not then the same to be divided equally between her children as hereinafter directed, John Wise, my
son to receive his part, Elizabeth Barnes?, my daughter to receive her part, in the event she survives me, if not, then her share to be equally divided between her children as
will be hereinafter directed, Samuel Wise, my son to receive his part, Mary Gill, my daughter to receive her part provided she survives me and if not, then her part to be
equally divided between her children as hereinafter directed, Benjamin Wise, my son to receive his part, Leander Wise, my son to receive his share, Josiah Wise, my son
to receive his share, Martha Sames, my daughter to receive her share.  I further ordain and devise that in the event that any of my children and heirs married die before the
distribution of my estate and being without issue, the  share of such child of heir shall be equally divided between my children and heirs named surviving them.  I further
devise and will that my executor hereinafter married shall hold and use for the benefit of the children of my daughters, Emily M. Poe and Kitty McDaniel, now dead, and
likewise any and all others of my daughters, who may die before the distribution of my estate, the shares of such daughters being dead and the same be __ by him, my
executor for the benefit of their children, each set of children, receiving their mothers share in no event to pay the same to the fathers of said children.  The money to be
expended for the children at such times and in such times as the best judgment of my executor may indicate and decide proper.  I further direct that as soon as
convenient and proper after my death all my property be sold upon such times as my executor may desire best and by him distributed as soon after the collection of the
proceeds of the same as is convenient and proper and as herein provided. I appoint my son, William Wise, my executor of this my last will and testament and request
the Court to accept Samuel Wise, my son as security for him in the event he is offered and if not then the security to be left in the discretion of the Court.  Done this
24th day of May 1870.
