In the name of God Amen.  I, W. L. Crutcher of the County of Franklin and State of Kentucky knowing the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death and being of sound

mind and disposing memory do make and publish this my las will and testament.
1st. It is my wish and desire that all property real, personal and mixed that my beloved wife, Susan A. Crutcher, now has in her own name or may hereafter have in her

name shall be absolutely hers.  And, in addition thereto, I do hereby give and bequeath to my said wife the one pair of horses now on my farm in this county, also one
piano in my dwelling.
2nd. I have advanced to my son, Henry S. Crutcher, twenty four hundred and thirty dollars ($2400).  I have advanced to my son, W. Lee Crutcher twenty one hundred

dollars ($2100).   I have advanced to my son, Walter Crutcher twenty four hundred and fourteen dollars ($2414).  I have advanced to my son, M. L. Crutcher three thousand
dollars ($3000).  These advancements I desire shall be charged to my said sons in the final distribution of my estate.
3rd.  It is my wish and desire that my former wife, the mother of the above named children, who lies buried in my yard at home shall be removed and buried in my lot in

the Franklin Cemetery.  It is my wish that this lot shall be suitably improved and that all that may remain of me after death shall be deposited in said lot.  I hereby set apart
out of my estate a sufficient sum of money to carry out this object and I hereby direct my Executors herein after named to carry out this provision.
4th.  I give and bequeath to my son, M. L. Crutcher my gold watch and chain.
5th.  All the rest and residue of my estate not herein otherwise disposed of, I desire shall be equally divided among my four sons above named, share and share alike.
Lastly, I hereby appoint my sons; W. Lee Crutcher and M. L. Crutcher, Executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other or former wills by me made.  

Done this 24th day of January 1883.

A writing purporting to be the last will and testament of W. L. Crutcher, dec'd. was produced to Court and proven by the oath of E. P. Moore, a subscribing witness thereto

who also proved the attestation of Sam D. Johnson the other subscribing witness. Whereupon it was ordered that said will be recorded, which is done.
