In the name of God Amen, This 2nd day of May in the year of our Lord 1804, I, Thomas Lewis of Franklin County and State of Kentucky, being in perfect health of body and sound
memory. Thanks be to God for the same and calling to mind that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form
following.  That is to say first and principally I recommend my soul to God who gave it to me and my body to the earth from whence it was taken, to be burind in such like manner
as my Executrix hereafter mentioned shall think proper and as to such worldly estate it hath pleased God to bless me with.  I dispose of as followeth, viz:
Item:  My will and desire is that al my just debts and funeral expenses be first paid and discharged.
Item:  I give and bequeath all my estate both real and personal to my beloved wife Ann Lewis, her heirs forever, whom I appoint my whole and sole Executrix of this my last will and

testament.  In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal, the day and date above written.

Tabitha Newton

At a court held for Franklin County on the 15th day of June 1809.  The last will and testament of Thomas Lewis, decd. was produced into court and proven by the oaths of Milly
Newton and Tabitha Newton and ordered to be recorded.
