15 Franklin County June 1st 1797 In the name of Gad Amen I Samuel Montgomery of the county of Franklin and State of Kentucky do make this my Last Will and Testament being weak in body though of perfect mind and memory. In the First place as to the land whereon I now live I give it to my sons John and Joseph to be by them equally inherited, and John and Joseph shall give Samuel Montgomery Two Hundred and Twenty five pounds for his third then he shall quite claim to the third part hereof. As for my land in the hands of Henton if obtainied of the vavlue thereof it shall be equally divided between John & Joseph. As for the personal property at my death I allow it to be equally divided between Samuel, John & Joseph, as Witness my hand this 1st June 1797. Samuel Montgomery {seal}
