11 In the name of God Amen I Samuel Adams of Franklin County and State of Kentucky being in bad health though of sound mind & memory knowing the uncertainty of life but not knowing the Hand of death do make this my last will and testament in manner & form following. First I desire that all my just debts and funeral expenses by paid after my decease And the remainder of all my property goods and chattels of every kind and description whatsoever, I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Elizabeth Adams and her heirs forever. And lastly I hereby appoint my beloved wife Elizabeth Adams executrix, and my friend Charles Owen executor of this my last will and testament, hereby revolking and disannulling all former or other wills by me heretofore made. In testimony whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name & affixed my seal this the tenth day of July One thousand eight hundred and twenty six. Samuel Adams {seal}
