I, Matt Towns, a man of color residing in Franklin County do make this my will. I devise the house and lot of ground in which I reside to John H. Hanna for the use and
benefit of Charles Bucknerm, a man of color, but he is to support my wife, Hager, in a decent manner during her life under the direction of my Executor who is to make
the title if in his opinion the said Charles does not perform his duty. I devise to my wife, Hager, the balance of my estate. I appoint J. Swigert my Executor to see that
my will is carried into effect. Witness my hand this 3 September 1854.

A writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Matt Towns was produced in court and was proved by the oaths of Jacob Swigert and John Walker the subscribing
witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded.
