The 12 day of January 1828.  This is to certify that I, Letty Payton, being in my right reason and sense make this my last will and testament, to my son Charles, items,
one counterpane, one  ?. one Barshear plow, one black cow with white face.  To my son, Benjamin, on bed with furniture, one pied cow, one black heifer, one pewter dish,
7 kitchen chairs and the land I live on, one sorrell mule.  To my daughter, Levina, on bed with furniture, on e bureau without mounting.  To my grandson, James W. Steele,
all the stock of hogs, one white cow, one pail with bails, one bed with furniture, one foot trammel. To my daughter, Newthy, one side saddle, one counterpane.  To my son,
Ransford Payton, one counterpane.  To daughter, Sarah Roach, one bureau, one cupboard and al the cupboard ware, wheels and reels and everything else belonging to me.
This division to take place at my death and not before.

Benjamin Payton produced in court a mancupation will of Letty Payton, decd., which being proven by the oaths of John Burchfield, James Steele and Sarah Roach, is ordered

to be recorded and thereupon the same hath been duly admitted to record in  my office.
