In the name of God Amen, I, John Pilcher of Franklin County State of Kentucky being very sick and weak in body, but of perfect mind and memory thanks be to God calling unto
mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament that is to say ____, but first of all I give
and recommend my soul unto the hands of the almighty God that gave it and my body recommended to the earth to be buried in decent order at the discretion of my executors
and friends.  Nothing doubting, but all the general resurrection.  I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God and touching such worldly estate wherewith it has
pleased God to bless me in this life.  I give demise and dispose of the same in following manner and form.
First, I give and bequeath to Sarah, my beloved wife the whole of my worldly estate both real and personal by her freely to be possessed and enjoyed during her natural life and at

her death to be equally divided between my six children to wit: Alexander Pilcher, Samuel Pilcher, Elizabeth Pilcher, now Elizabeth Rice, Susan Pilcher, Frances Pilcher and
Sarah Pilcher.  I do appoint my wife, Sarah Pilcher and my son Alexander Pilcher as executors to this my will and I do hereby ___ and revoke and disannull all and every other
former testament wills, legacies and bequeaths and executors by me in anywise made, ratifying this and no other to be my last will and testament in witness of, I have hereunto
set my hand and seal this 28 day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty nine.

hereto subscribed our names:

A writing purporting to be the last will and testament of John Pilcher, deceased was produced in Court and was proven by the oaths of Jones Johnson, Richard Cook and William

West and ordered to be recorded, which is done accordingly in my office.
