In the name of God Amen, September 21, 1813, I John Mcosky of Franklin County, State of KY, being in sound mind and memory (Thanks be to God therefore), but being in a low
state of bodily health and knowing that it is appointed for men once to die, do make constitute and ordain this my last will and testament.
1st.  I commend my love to God who gave it trusting in his mercy through Jesus Christ.
2nd.  I commit my body to the dust to be buried in a Christian like manner at the descretion of my family and as for the worldy goods which I posses I dispose of in the following
manner to wit:  I give and bequeath unto my lawful and loving wife Nancy MCrosky, 100 acres of land being the west side of a quarter section which I entered in Harrison County,
Indiana. I give/bequeath to my loving son Robert MCrosky 10 acres, then the said 100 acres of land shall go to my son Joseph MCrosky and his heirs forever, the balance of said
quarter section of land. I give and bequeath to my loving son, John Little MCrosky to him and his heirs forever.  Then I give/bequeath also unto my beloved wife Nancy, all my
personal property and it is my will and desire that she shall pay unto my loving daughters, Mary Stucker, Sally Telford, Betsy Armstrong one dollar each, to my loving son James
MCrosky one dollar, to Nancy Britton one dollar to be paid 12 months after my decease, to Jenny MCrosky one feather bed and bedding, one cow and calf when she calls for them,
and one horse beast to be valued as $40 cash or $40 in cash to be paid within 7 years of my decease.  To my daughter Peggy MCrosky one cow and calf when demanded, also a
horse beast valued at $40 cash or $40 cash to be paid within 7years of my decease, to my daughter Ann MCrosky one dollar to be paid one year after my decease.  It is my will
that my son Thomas Campbell McKrosky shall be put to a trade and after he is free it is my will that his mother shall pay him a horse beast worth $40 or $40 in cash, and if anything
of a providential nature should prevent or render him unfit to aquire a trade in that case he is to have an equal share of the 100 acres of land with his brother Joseph MCrosky to him
and his heirs forever, and I do hereby nominate ordain and appoint my loving wife Nancy MCrosky my son, John McCrosky and Robert Telford to be the executors and executrix of
this my last will and testament and do hereby revoke and disanul all other wills heretofor made.

The above will produced and proven at the November term 1813
Nancy MCrosky and John MCrosky, two of the executors came into court and agreed to undertake it's execution.

The above will of John McCoskey, page 206, is not listed on the index for Will Book 1.  
Although the date, September 21, 1813 falls between 1795 - 1823, Will Book 1 consist only of 128 pages.
