213 In the name of God Amen, I Jasper Clayton of Franklin County and State of Kentucky, do hereby make this my last will and testament, revoking all other wills by me made. I desire all my just debts paid that I have contracted since I have taken the Bankrupt law, or Bankruptcy. Section the first: I desire and will that my wife Elizabeth Clayton, late Elizabeth Tackett have all the land or farm where on I now live, which I purchased of Joseph Yates, containing eight three acres, lying and being in the counties of Scott, Franklin and Owen to have during her natural life and two featherbeds and bed steads and all necessary bed clothing for the same, one clock, two cows and calves, if they have any and eight chairs and one chicken house or mare, if any, three tables and ___ and the cooking vessels and __ gallon kettle and eight shoats and I will and desire that at the death of my wife, Elizabeth Clayton, the land which I now live on that it shall be disposed of as follows: Whereas R. A. Jameson caused my land to be sold for going his security and hold his note for two hundred and sixty two dollars due January the 26th day 1866. I will and desire that if the R. A. Jameson failes to pay off the said two hundred and sixty two dollars with interest on the same in my lifetime so that I get the money in hand, that his children, my grandchildren, which are my daughter Elizabeth's children, Elizabeth Jameson, late Elizabeth Clayton, namely James W. Jameson, Milly Jameson, now Milly Blythe and Nancy Jameson, now Nancy Morgan, John Alfred Jameson and Malinda Frances Jameson. I will and desire that my grandchildren as above named, Robert A. Jameson' s children shall only have twenty five dollars of my estate and that at my wife Elizabeth Clayton's death, which will be five dollars per heir. I will and desire that my daughter, Lucy Head, late Lucy Clayton, wife of H. H. Head have one hundred dollars of my estate at the death of my wife Elizabeth Clayton and if her husband H. H. Head pays off two debts in claims I hold on him. One is a note for sixty eight dollars due September 1867 the other is a note that I assigned to Nicholas Taylor for about two hundred and ninety dollars with some credits paid on it, now if the said H. H. Head pays both of them debts, my daughter, Lucy Head shall have her equal share of my estate and if he does not she shall have only one hundred dollars at my wifes death. I will and desire that my granddaughter Mary Boulin Bruce, late Mary Clayton shall have fifteen dollars of my estate, but if she dies without heirs, no person shall collect or get the money or if she dies without any heirs. I will and desire that John A. Abbott, Mildred Tackett, late Mildred Abbott, J. N. Abbott, Charles Abbott and Mieve Abbott, my grandchildren, heirs of William C. Abbott and children of my daughter, Mary Abbott, deceased, late Mary Clayton shall have the balance of my estate after all debts are paid and at the death of my wife Elizabeth Clayton, all the land that I now own at the death of my wife Elizabeth Clayton. I will and desire that Dabrier Manfous, a boy about 13 or 14 years of age that lives with me now, shall have one bay horse colt, which will be one year old May next, one young white cow, one high bed stead and one featherbed and all necessary clothing for the same and one Choire hog for service already rendered to me for the same. Whereas I hereto set my hand this the 22nd day of March 1870. Jasper Clayton
