I Hollen Harrod of the County of Franklin and State of Kentucky being in good health of body and of sound and disposing mind and memory, and being desirous of
settling my worldy affairs while I have strength and capacity so to do, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament that is to say: First I desire that all
my funeral expenses and all my just debts, shall be paid as soon after my decease as practicable, out of the first moneys that may come into the hands of my
Executors or Adminstrators.

Second, to my elder son, Horace Harrod, I give and devise the sum of one dollar to be paid to him out of my estate, to him or his heirs, he having already received
a full proportionable allowance.

Third: To my younger so Israel P. Harrod I give and bequeath twenty-three and one-half acers of my present tract of fifty-three and one-half acres, said twenty-three
and one-half acres to be taken from the west side of said land and to include the dwelling house and other improvements.  I also direct that the whole of my household
furniture shall be and remain the absolute property of the said Israel P. Harrod if he shall be living at the time of my decease, but if he shall not survive me then that
the same shall be given to his legal heirs, but to remain in the care and control of his surviving widow so long as she remains unmarried, and a further provision is
made and directed that the said property hereby bequeathed be not held subject to any indebtedness of the said Israel P. Harrod; and further that he shall not have
power to sell and dispose of said twenty-three and one-half acres of land except by the advice and sanction of my executor or some trustee appointed by the Court,
who shall see that the proceeds be invester again in land to the best advantage.

Fourth: And from the residue of my personal estate if there be a sufficiency and if not, then enough of the share of the land that my be allotted to my younger son
Richard Harrod, I direct to be sold to make up deficiency, I direct that the sum of one hundred dollars be taken and of that sum fifty dollars be divided equally between
my two granddaughters, Margaret Warren and Nancy Ellen Warren; and I direct that the remaining fifty dollars be equally divided among the surviving heirs (at present
four) of Katherine Roberts, deceased.

Fifth:  And lastly, all the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, I direct to be equally divided among the following named children and heirs
at law Joseph Harrod, Dennis Harrod, Richard Harrod Reuben Harrod and Elton Philips, share and share alike, and the heirs or representatives of any of my children
who shall have died between the time of my decease and the time of such division or distributions are to be entitled to such share or shares as their respective
ancestors would have been entitled to receive if then living. And I further direct that if the last named heris shall agree and deem it best they may sell and dispose of
the said thirty acres of  land hereby bequeathed to them and equally divided the proceeds. And I hereby appoint my worthy son, Joseph Harrod, sole executor of this
my last will and testament; hereby revoking all former wills by me made; and I further direct that the said Joseph Harrod my chosen executor be not required to give
security for the performance of the duties required in carrying out the provisions of foregoing will. In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this 7th day
of Feby in the year of our Lord 1884.

have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

Monday, June 6th, 1887

A writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Hollen Harrod deceased was produced to court and proven by the oath of Joel Tracy one of the subscribing
witnesses thereto who also proved the attestation of James R. Harrod the other subscribing witness whereupon said writing was ordered to be recorded which is done.
