In the name of God, Amen. I, Francis Moss of the County of Franklin and State of Kentucky being very sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks
be given unto God calling unto mind the mortality of my Body and knowning that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament
that is to say principally and first of all I give and recomend my soul into the hands of almighty God that gave it and my body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in
decent christian burial at the Discretion of my Executor nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the lome again by the almighty power of god and as
touching such worldly Estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this life I give demise and dispose of the same on the following manner & form.

First, I give and bequeath to Peggy my dearly beloved wife the whole of my estate for and during her natural life and as her death decend in the following manner, to my
surviving children in the manner hereafter that is to say after the expence of schooling the younger children and giving them as much of my Estate as has been or may be
given to those that has had in advancement that is to say to my Daughter Elizabeth Cox, late Elizabeth Moss and my daughter Polly Church late Polly Moss, who has given
in advancement of my  Estate to the amount of one bed, horse saddle & bridle, cow & calf and some hogs - and it is my wish that the following named children should
have out of my estate the same amount given unto them that is to say James Moss, William Stephen Moss, Nancy Moss, Daniel Perry Moss, Samuel Moss, Jesse
Moss and John Moss & remainder of my Estate after said advancements are made that but equally divided in the following manner, that is to say my will and desire is that
what I have given my Daughter Elizabeth ex late Elizabeth Moss shall be to her and her heirs forever, and it is my will and desire that what I give to my daughter Polly
Church late Polly Moss shall be to her and her heirs forever only for their use and benefit and not to be disposed of by any other means whatsoever and what I give to my
other children that is to say to James Moss, William Stephen Moss, Nancy Moss, Daniel Perry Moss, Samuel Moss, Jesse Moss and John Moss shall be to them and
their heirs forever, and it is my will and desire to if Either of above named children should depart this life Before they intermarry or without leaving any heirs that their part
of my estate that has or may fall into there possession shall be equally divided Between the surviving heirs.
In Testimony whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this fifth day of September 1824.

N. B. it is further my will and desire that there shall be one hundred dollars deducted out of the part of my Estate that shall fall to my daughter Elizabeth Cox, late
Elizabeth Moss as I have heretofore given them that amount.

John Bartlett the subscribing witnesses thereto.
