Page 107 I Charles C. Black of the County of Franklin and state of Kentucky do hereby make my last will and Testament in manner in manner and for following that is to say 1st I desire that immediately after my decease all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid and if a sufficient sum of money shall not be found left for that object then I desire that my Executrix hereafter named shall in her discretion sell such part of my personal property as shall be sufficient and such others as she may think is value be unproductive or the worse for keeping. 2ndly After the payment of my just dents and funeral expenses I give unto my beloved wife Jane Black all my Estate of every kind whether real personal or mixed during her natural life and desire that she by her own will and testament devize the same to her own children in her own way both that which she has or may hereafter succeed to as she devizee of Semun Ranch deceased late of the state of South Carolina in that which she is made Heir to by me in my own right and lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my said wife sole Executrix of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other or former wills or testaments by me made arising that she may not be required to give security for performance of the trust hereby confided to her. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 21st day of December in the year 1838. Charles C. Black {seal} Purseval Douthitt Elias M. Williams Franklin County Sct August Court 1839 The last will and testament of Charles C. Black, decd. Was produced in Court and was proven by the oath of Pursavil Douthitt & Elias M. Williams which is ordered to recorded whereupon the same is duly admitted to record in my office.
